Oak frames in the steam box |
|
Frames are hot and ready to bend |
To replace the rotten red oak frames, Oscar cut 1" x 2 3/8" frames from white oak. These are bieng steam bent and
screwed to the exterior of the hull to mold their shape. They will then be removed and installed where the old frames have
been removed. When complete, the Jonesporter will be stronger and practically a new boat.
